I don't know about you, but for some reason, 2022 went by slow and fast all at the same time. The slow parts of the year made it feel as though I was living out several years of my life. In contrast, the fast parts made it feel as though I was just celebrating the new year yesterday. There were times when talking with friends and family, and I would recall something happening but thought it happened years ago — and it didn't. Not years ago, but more like weeks ago 🤦🏽♀️. All in all, it's been an eventful year full of gratitude.
Thinking back on this year, I would say this was my season of many growth spurts. Those growth spurts included learning curves, breakthroughs, and major milestones. All the seeds that were planted years before finally sprouted. I started the year by writing down my goals in my journal of things I wanted to happen in 2022. Here's what I wrote:
(My Intro) Make peace with myself and accept where and who I am. Renew the energy of my atmosphere for a brand new beginning. Thrive in who God called me to be. Be clear and focus on what's in front of me while living with what's inside me!
This year's intentions are about following what's on my heart. In 2022, I will only think, feel, and speak great things about myself. My acting career will grow, and I am booking fun and amazing projects. 2022 is my year to create the world I want to see for myself. My art will grow and reach those who support and buy my work. Don't overthink your ideas; just do them. I want to look back at the end of the year and smile at all the great things I've done.
I am smiling from ear to ear! 😁
It's important to be proud of yourself for growing, becoming closer to yourself, and making the necessary adjustments to align with the life you desire. I overcame old habits and old ways of thinking, sold one of my hand-painted bags, got married, moved, worked on a passion project with really good people, booked and filmed three projects, relaunched Purposely You, and obtained a clear and positive atmosphere for myself. All I wanted to do was make myself proud, and I did that and more. Take a moment to reflect and be proud of how far you have come and all you have achieved in 2022. See you next year👋🏽, and always remember to be purposely you!
